Michael Acosta, 34, of North Bergen used his position in the company to buy more than 400 phones without authorization from its service provider between October 2015 and September 2018, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said Friday.

He “later sold them on eBay for his own personal gain,” Calo said.

Acosta was issued a summons and released pending a Feb. 20 first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on charges of theft by deception and computer-related theft.

Calo thanked Hackensack and North Bergen police for their assistance.
